Client: Doctors without Borders, Student Case

The Brief: Create an informative (and persuasive) landing page for the Organization Doctors Without Borders, to encourage visitors to take action- whether donating or volunteering.

Background:

For this case, I chose to focus on the refugee crisis in the Mediterranean and more specifically in Greece.

Visiting Greece is a dream for many, and it is a synonym for vacation, relaxation, the endless summer, the perfect beach, the summer fling, and the amazing food. Only in 2023, the country was visited by 33 million tourists. Greece is also the dream for many refugees (48.721 in 2023) who see it as their only chance to escape violence, wars, and natural disasters and move further in Europe.

Idea:

The inspiration came from an old ad campaign for the National Greek Tourism Association, which encouraged people to “Live their myth in Greece.”

I wanted to show how Greece turns out to be a lie for those immigrants who, instead of having their chance for a decent life, meet death face to face, are detained in refugee camps, and go through mental health crises.
